Q: What speeds can I expect?
A: LTE RAIN speed is determined by the external environment around your home and where your router is placed in your home. Our testing achieved on average speeds of 20Mb up and down within the RAIN coverage area.
Q: Do I need to RICA my SIM card?
A: Yes. You need to produce your ID and proof of address that is less than three months old on application and delivery of your RAIN Sim card.
Q: Can I use this LTE service anywhere?
A: Yes, provided you are within our LTE-A coverage area (see our coverage map).
Q: What is YLTE-A?
A: YLTE-A is more reliable and delivers true 4G speeds, that are 2 - 3x faster than regular LTE.
Q: Are there contracts involved?
A: We intend to keep you smiling, no contracts, no lock in, all on Month to Month.
Q: Is my first payment and data pro-rated?
A: Yes, we pro-rata our LTE services. That means, if you sign up halfway through the month you will pay half the price and receive half the data for the rest of the month.
Q: Does the LTE Router support different internet connections?
A: Yes, both LTE and Fibre connections will work, ADSL and VDSL are not supported.
Q: What if my speeds are consistently slow?
A: You have two options. (1) Provided the router is in a good condition you can return it to us for a full refund. (2) You can upgrade to our more powerful ‘Outdoor’ solution at an additional cost.
Q: Can I upgrade or downgrade?
A: Yes. Upgrades are immediate. Downgrade requests on or before the 20th of the month will be actioned from the first of the following month. Downgrade requests after the 20th will be actioned a calendar month later.to our more powerful ‘Outdoor’ solution at an additional cost.
Q: Can I top-up my data when I run out?
A: Absolutely. If you find yourself topping up before the month ends, we suggest upgrading to a bigger package. It’s the cost-effective option. (Go to SHOP for Top-ups).
Q: Does top-up data expire?
A: Yes all top ups expire 30 days from purchase.
Q: Does unused data rollover?
A: Unfortunately not.
Q: How long does it take for my LTE-A service to activate?
A: Your service can take up to 48 hours to activate.
